My long held dream

I want to live in the Hebrides or Ireland, I want a little cottage with my husband and to wake up with the birds, and read poems with my tea, look out the window toward the sea or mountains, read books on myth, lore and otherworldly things, hope it’s brrr cold all the time, listen to folk music on my wooden stereo, make minestrone soup for lunch and bake bread to have with it, make butter and sew my own velvet dresses, and bead my own necklaces. Work on poetry and fairy tales, send out a newsletter to my followers every week of deep reflections, poems, music, art and books I’ve loved and want to share, paint on canvas and hold an exhibition once a year locally of my paintings, be a wild gothic beauty, full of old world eclecticism, wear silver bangles I made and embroidered shoes, make spirited drawings, write books on dream lore, sing with my husband and make little records just for us and a few friends, have grilled mediterranean vegetables on ciabatta rolls, visit the wild sea every weekend, little galleries too, collect old folk instruments [my husband loves music], the velvet vest I made him with appliqué, have lovers we write scented letters too, honour our ancestors and the genius loci of place that we love and live, seeking magic every day.

This is all I want.
