I am convinced that the people who make sure to mention at least once during a conversation or an argument that they never lie

are the ones who lie the most. Bonus points to the very passionate or defensive ones.

I doubt that assessment, if someone says they never lie then it probably means that they try to avoid lying to the best of their ability, but is also somewhat mistaken in their claim.
