Yes we are. The best you can hope for is that whatever anyone here says, they aren't actually intending you harm. Exaggeration, joking around, fantasizing, they aren't intended to hurt. Many of them are just kind of thinking, "what if". And saying it as if it's real.

Yeah. I've actually been seeing that quite a bit. It makes me wonder, what is it about this place that brings out so many of those sorts? I really just don't get it...

It isn't just this place. It's life. Here, all over the Internet, people you meet at work. Not all are lying to hurt you. But many people feel that nobody will ever be interested in the boring truth of their lives, so they say went for a run in the park, because saying they spent four hours watching tv and then going to bed isn't interesting enough.

And I like you too. Don't wonder. I was kidding. But only partly. The fact is, lots of people lie. I see it as a problem only if they are lying to put one over on you instead of a harmless silliness.

Like if someone says they like this song, when in fact they've never actually listened to it, but someone on here asked do you like this song, so they say yes to impress. Harmless. If someone comes on here and says how do you like this song that I wrote and my band performs, but you know that's not true, then it's not a harmless lie. It's like plagiarism.

I really don't care much if everyone here is telling a straight up truth or exaggerating or if it's pure fantasy. It doesn't change my life one bit.
