I Wear Coveralls

The hardest thing about the coveralls was as they started to get worn out or when I would outgrow them. Usually we'd get them a size big to grow into. That also worked well for winter la<x>yering--a necessity in Minnesota's winters. But there were times when the coveralls got too small too soon. When I was going to school, I'd be uncomfortable with them on. When I was working around the house or playing outside, I would skip my jeans and just wear my union suit underneath. That made it easier to get around in, but colder in winter. When the wind was really howling, I'd stay in the coveralls inside, because coveralls and a union suit were warmer than jeans and a union suit and the wind would blow through the house pretty bad.
