I Want Information On Your Work Problems
This Action Seems Against The Law....... I have a friend that works for a Daycare here in OHIO. The owner and manager has no respect for the company employees. The owner has disregarded all of their years of work . Most employees have worked there from about 2-14 years. The owner states the record of years worked does not apply to the future plans of the company. The employees are not independent contractors.
The owner has informed them that next year no matter how long they have worked they will not receive any paid vacations or be allowed vacations.
In Ohio, the State and City, Daycare Systems give owners money for paid holidays to the employees. I'm not sure about vacations. This owner does receive the holiday funds from state & city governments.
These people do take care of the children properly and will even assist the owner if there is any kind of shortage is staffing, materials, and even nurishment.
I really do not believe this is legal. And, I just found out that when this owner was partners with another owner and they broke-up the business. This present day owner took over and wiped away all seniority without dismissing anyone, at that time either I really do not think this is legal. I have put queries in everywhere. If you have similar problems or concerns and can direct me...I would be very grateful.
This type of job discrimination is not addressed directly as far as I can see on the U. S. Department of Labor site. But you know I will be working & researching on this issue!
Please post your work issues, too. I 'm trying to get a healthy gauge on how we could help/assist any EP people/friends dealing under these type or other employment situations.
Blessings & Prayers,
