I Am Redhotcrazy Wearing Heart On Sleeve Hear Me

This is a question recently posed to the community here, and it provoked so much thought, I just thought I'd turn it into a story.....the question: If you could deliver a message to the 12 year old you, what would you say?

I would have a lot to say to my 12 year old self. It would go something like this:

Very soon someone extremely close to you is going to pass from your life. Do not be mad at God, he was just taking your mother to be with Him and out of pain....there is a reason for everything; she will still be with you in spirit.

Your life is not going to become any easier, you are going to experience a lot of hardships in the near future. Abuse, isolation, betrayal, neglect, among other things. Do not let this destroy your spirits, know that there is always hope.

Also a few years from now analyze the people you are able to allow in or out of your life. Choose carefully. Some people are best to have in your life long enough for you to give of yourself to, and take positive from, but that does not always mean they are meant to stay in your life.

And overall, know that you deserve and are worthy of love. You are a good person and should always love yourself. There are people out there that care about you and love you whether it is extended family, friends, or God.

Keep your head up!

Excellent advice. I would tell my 12 year old self to be confident, don't be scared of your peers and your parents. Ask Christine out and it's okay if she says no. Don't fantasize, do.

Is Christine still in your life today, or who is she :)? Always good to not be afraid of things/people.

Long gone. She was my first crush back in high school. I never said a word to her and was afraid for no reason.

That is such a great message. It actually works for people of all ages. so many people are hurting and this really can fit into helping them in their life struggles.....

Thank you, I like to think I've learned from my own struggles...and that struggles can be overcome.
