I Love My Baby Daddy But The Relationship Is Toxic

(Can't believe I'm the 1st experience author) I was just talking on the phone with his mother and she wanted to make sure we were having civil conversations. She apologized for his anger and said his father didn't really claim him and it really effected him. We are civil now and it's refreshing. My son's dad is bipolar and our son was taken due to him having an episode while they were home and I was at work. I understand being angry because we know my aunt is who called child services. But when everyone told me to leave him, I was on his side, wanting us to stay a family and fight together. I will always love him but he physically assaulted me twice. Racial verbal assaults led up to it (he's white, I'm black) He moved to another state and things are better, he seems happier. I miss him but he seems healthier now.
