I Thought Id Broken My Toe

I posted a story earlier, saying that I thought id broken my little toe ....

Well...

I hobbled around this morning ... In great pain... And chatting to a friend, who said, unless you've suddenly earned a medical degree...pop up to xray just in case.......

So at about 1700. I wandered up to the accident and emergency dept at the local hospital...
It's only a 5 minute walk from my house...
And I sat there...for about 2 min... When the triage nurse called me up...
Ok... We will have it x-rayed he said....

And there I sat...for about 3 hrs

Chatting with Lilreddress...about all sorts of things in my day...

..for keeping me company...till Mrs expresso arrived....
..
Eventually...i was x-rayed....
And went back to the waiting room for another hour..

Then .. I heard my name called...
I was greeted by the doctor...who shook my hand...
And said "congratulations... You haven't broken your toe"
It's just badly bruised...
Phew.....

Still hurts loads.. (was gonna type something else...but don't want this story flagged... Do I ??)..., ;)

Anyhow... Eventually I got home...
We ordered a huge takeout pizza 🍕...
And an early night....its been a heck of a weekend...as my last couple of posts will tell you....
Up early in the morning...
