when you live alone with no support network

and you have lived alone for 20 years and only have your elderly mum and dad for support, but they live far away......and in the middle of the night, you awaken from a bad nightmare and your lay there on your own in the darkness, feeling shaken and afraid....what should you do?

Even though there were people around ,I've lived alone my whole life. I have a dog ,he gives me unconditional love . Yeah it's just a dog but he's so much more. Consider getting pet .
