Yes. When I was younger, I thought people I was friends with would always be there
Even once high school was nearing completion, I thought many of us would go to the same colleges and still see each other.

I'll never forget what one of the speakers said during HS graduation. " Take a look around, because this will be the last time you see some people". Never dawned on me till then.

I feel the same way with family. No closeness and
No coming together.
