Yeah, sometimes I hear loud banging noises right before I'm almost asleep. They kind of start quiet and suddenly get louder and shock me awake.
The weirdest one I had though, was when I woke up (or I thought I was awake, anyway). I was laying in bed staring at the wall, I heard my door open (my mum often would let my cat into my room). I heard, "Soon, soon, soon, soon..." and then felt the bed compress behind me, but I didn't feel afraid for some reason.
I sat there for a long time staring at the wall, and then suddenly I was in the washroom brushing my teeth, and wondering if it was real. There was no transition between asleep and awake.
Oh, and my cat was waiting outside my door when I got up.
