i live in small town so dont see that stuff i did see it when ive drove through detroit tho. it made me really sad for them. i have helped in soup kitchens tho.. i need to start that and habitat for humanity again.

I've been recently buying a homeless person near my house a sandwich, just when I go into the supermarket not like everyday - it's all he wants anyway it seems.

Usually not, occasionally I have. The last time I gave some spare change to a homeless girl, she invited me to have a beer with her, but I declined.

No. I might buy them a sandwich or something but not money. I do give them a business card where they can get a job if they just show up.

Never ever. There are organizations that confront the homelessness issue much better than handing money to someone who is likely mentally ill and clearly can't care for themselves.

Nope. Around here it's mostly a scam. You'll see "homeless" walking off and getting into brand new cars.

I used to. In this neighborhood they have drug and alcohol and mental problems. You're not really helping them by giving them money.
