Why do people think teens don't know anything?

Because there's a prevailing thought that age equals experience, and some people prefer to forget that even thickwits like them get old.
Don't take this the wrong way though, but there's always more to learn. You won't know as much as you think as a teenager. Recognising that fact is the first step towards not being like those thickwits I mentioned.
