I wasted my time

I'm not angry that you don't care to spend time with me, seeing that we were friends for 19-21 years. I'm angry that I wasted my time with a self absorbed person that can't even acknowledge that her friend was and still is hurting inside... The fact that when ever I try to express myself you always have to be right and can't just listen to what the other person is feeling. That's not what friends do.

It's hard for me to imagine it was a complete waste of time. Maybe it didn't last forever. But it probably doesn't mean that there wasn't anything enjoyable before it ended.
