I used to be able to hear music like it was in the room with me but it wasn't really there. It went away near the end of my teens though.

I have had that experience also.
Interesting, maybe the frequency we operate and live on becomes more specific and narrowed as we grow older and into the mental moulding of our societies.
I used to see ghosts as well apparently, i'd see an older woman crying at the end of my bed. I think as a child we're closer to "source/god", i think it's only once we fully become players of the game in that we disconnect from these phenomenon and play the role we chose to act on in this life.
