What is the greatest pain of all apart from death

What broke your heart?

Someone I fell for but couldn't have. Then they abandoned talking to me. It's hard to describe really.

I have overcome the best I can but still being single and alone doesn't help. I long to find another like him and it's a bit disheartening feeling like that isn't possible.
