Sometimes I wonder if I’m doing good as a parent

But then I remember that my kids have never had juice/soda without water in it

As a disclaimer: I’m NOT saying that if you give your kids full strength juice, you’re a bad parent. I’m just saying that when I’m doubting myself at time I have to reflect and I’m able to point out At LEAST ONE thing that assures me that I’m trying to be a decent parent.

So I don’t want anyone to interpret this as if I’m saying giving your kids diluted juice makes you an outstanding parent above all because I know there’s an idiot right now fixing to write up a whole paragraph.

This little system that I came up with that saves money AND cuts down on sugar makes me feel good about myself when I’m questioning myself. Because it makes me realize that I do put effort in taking care of my kids. I mean, obviously I do take care of them but some days I’m just really hard on myself cause I feel like I can be going better. But honestly, all parents can do better even if you’re the Mother Teresa of mothers, your job is not done. You can still find ways to improve.

You are doing absolutely fine.

I relaxed as a parent when I finally realised nobody has any idea what they are doing.

So you begin to trust youself more, od course we make mistakes, but so does everyone else. The bad parents are the ones that judge everyone around them, thinking there is only one right way to raise kids.

You probably are good as a parent, but your kids will set the record straight in about 16 years from now.
