I mean, we’re not even married yet

You can’t tell me “as your husband” and bah blah blah. I wasn’t even listening to what he had to say but I do remember him saying as your husband. Dude, you don’t even know what you’re talking about you’re not even a husband yet lol so you know what I kept my mouth shut just to keep the peace and I told him that I was just gonna take a walk. But I’m actually laying on the picnic tables at the park lol the park isn’t that far from our house so it was a quick little walk.

We're married and we don't speak like that. We don't say things like "As your husband" or "As your wife", that's dismissive and its not part of us.

When someone starts using phrases like that, it often feels disrespectful and can be a sign they're trying to control the other person. That's how I see it.

@HumanEarth yes exactly this marriage is gonna be all about control. It’s not gonna be about love like how I thought it was gonna be about 😔😔

I wish I had the perfect awswer for you.

Have you try looking outside your type guy you would normally go for? Say like a complete opposite - I know its a shot in the dark.

Like county and city people hooking up, what's another completely opposite group. Well anyways I think you're catching my drift.
