Yesterday an old bum in McDonalds asked me to buy him a burger just as I was sitting down to eat. I said no. Now I feel bad

I dont really have it to give away. I made no money last year and I am out of work. I had just bought a $5 meal because that was all I could really afford. I was probably closer to being in his shoes than it looked. I still felt bad the next day. I used to buy food for anyone who asked me when I had a 6 figure job living in LA. I just dont have it like that anymore.

I used to get people coming up to my car window and asking for money in the McDonald's parking lot. I would give him some, then he went into McDonald's, and came out a few seconds later with nothing. He probably went to the liquor store instead.

@Chris00987 Of course - that is why I never give money. I remember some bum outside the Fatburger in Hollywood around midnight asking me for change as I was walking inside. I said no but bought him some fries and gave them to him on my way out. I am sure he was a junkie but I figured he still needed to eat. I left without looking because I didnt want to see if he ate the fries or not. I would have done that for the bum yesterday if I was rolling like I was back in Hollywood
