What is your advice for expanding your horizons, when your world has become small?

I am genuinely interested in hearing your suggestions, stories or thoughts on something you did or experienced that expanded your horizons.

My world has become small and routine, you know, small as in the routine of: work, sleep, repeat. Same people same places, same mental resolve, round n round.. I look forward to hearing any advice.

@MrBrownstone i tried mushrooms and it was definately a mind expanding trip, but the thing about drugs i found is that, yes, they open your mind but you can't control where your mind takes you when you're on them. Deep meditation can achieve tbe same results in a more gradual way but at least i can control where my mind is going. Bit like climbing a mountain in order to see the spectacular mind opening view from the top, meditation is the long winding path and druga are the cable cart or helicopter ride with someone else flying the chopper.
