How do you know when a relationship is declining

Someone told me a few years ago that when you start to see each other less that’s when you know. It’s just been on my mind because it’s like we’ve been talking to each other less and less. I dont know what’s going on with him or what I did but he won’t open up to me. I ask if things are ok and he says they are. But how come I feel like they aren’t. Why do I feel like he’s checking out and running away from me.

Just so you know, we used to giggle all the time. We spent so much time just making each other laugh and now we don’t. You can’t just end that on me cold turkey like that. Because I wasn’t done. I miss our friendship

Maybe it isn't you at all, love. Maybe he's troubled about something at work or maybe overwhelmed but it's not necessarily YOU. Just give him space & let him work through whatever's eating at him. We all have those moments when we just need to think...

Try to make time, but it looks like, he is not trying. Tell him about it. Arrange it so once every week you get to spend sometime just the two of you - I know it might seem almost impossible with the children and all, but if it weren't the children, there would have been some other matter.
I don't think it is about limitation, it is about your wish to be together. Shake him!

I remember you mentioning that he works a lot lately, maybe he’s trying to keep up with bills so you both don’t have to worry about it? Maybe he’s tired from the extra hours? I’m sure it’s something temporary.

Real life has a way of judging its way into even the best relationships sometimes. I guess sometimes guys feel like they are being nagged about things, but it’s important to keep those lines of communication open too.

Has he said if he's going through something depressing? If you are like you are on here in real person then I don't know how any could not laugh being around you.

When the other person looked so distracted when you’re together. Like physically there but not all of him.

Maybe try to have a face to face session with him and tell him what you’ve been feeling and thinking - his reaction would tell everything else.
The best thing for you to do is talk to him. We get stuck in our own heads sometimes, but if it's something you'll be glad you talked about it.

Just tell him again how you are feeling and say what you said here.
@JackDaniels it’s like we never have time to talk to each other because this weekend he’s gonna be busy again

@TurtlePink you just have to grab him and make time.

Trust your gut. You're subconcious can pick up on things.

Well, if a relationship is good, the person politely knocks before entering, announces their arrival, has a big smile when they see you...

Kinda like the events in this romantic comedy.
