Yall I have some good news!!!!
But I’m a little anxious because I don’t believe in having strangers watch ours kids. But I found us a babysitter for the whole day!!! The past two weeks I’ve been trying to find a last minute babysitter. And you know what’s so weird, it’s so easy to find a babysitter for a whole day on Saturday but not one for a Friday night for a few hours.
I had to reach out and post to my neighborhood Facebook group. I did that Thursday night asking if anyone could do a last-minute babysitting for Friday night from 5 PM till 1 AM. Nobody could do that schedule. So last night I asked if anybody could come on Saturday from 12 pm to 8 pm so that me and my boyfriend can run some errands and clean out our cars and maybe go see a movie, this sweet little girl said she could. We picked her because she looks like she’s 19 and in college and it just reminded me of when I was 19 and having to do babysitting jobs. But she doesn’t know that we actually pay our babysitters WELL.
I had to take on five kids who bite! And I was only paid $80 to watch them for like 12 hours. But no. I believe in paying your babysitters right because they are taking on a responsible job. Our kids aren’t bad or anything. It’s just that she will be taking care of a six month old and then a soon to be 3 year old who will make a mess out of ANYTHING, and then a six year-old who thinks he’s a 3 year old like his brother so technically she’s gonna be watching 2 three year olds and then a 10 year-old but she doesn’t need to be watched. Just make sure she doesn’t leave the house. Then after you put them to bed, which is kinda hard putting the boys to bed and I feel so bad for her but after you do all that you have the whole house to yourself, you can eat snacks or order take out and watch whatever you want. And I told her if it’s too much of a challenge getting the boys to bed let them stay up because I don’t want her to feel overwhelmed like how I was but please try to get them into bed and if they don’t go to bed, it’s OK! You’re still gonna get paid for helping us
