I’m gonna be making the shrimp n rice tomorrow for dinner for the kids

Also, by the way me and my ex we take turns cooking, but since he did me a favor, I have cooking duty for the rest of the week. It’s just how it plays out which I don’t mind because I feel like I’m getting better and better at cooking. Every stay-at-home mother should know how to cook. and no I’m not trying to enforce gender role. we don’t believe in gender roles obviously since he comes home from work and is expected to cook on his days. It’s just that if I’m gonna be staying home with the kids, I gotta develop some useful skills, ya know.

The more you learn the better you get. It’s good to have those cooking skills and to set an example for your children. So many grow up thinking they need a lot of fast food or highly processed foods because the parents didn’t cook much or at all.

I love cooking. Such a good skill. The food is cheaper, better for you, and more tasty. I think children should be taught more about food.
