How do YOU pronounce “…ville”?

A town that has ville at the end. Like Brownsville, Greenville, Fayetteville. People in the south be saying “vull”

ITS VILL!!!! I get so irritated 🤣🤣

We had this discussion at work when it came to Louisville. You’re apparently supposed to say it like Lew-vull otherwise you’re flat out wrong. But I’ve always said Louie-ville because I’m a different southerner I guess. Even my ville is pronounced as a two syllable vee-aul.
@PerfectionOfTheHeart Yeah, when I've been in Louisville .. it seems most often prounounced "Lou-a-vull" though kind of run together.
Your "Lew-vull" is the other I've heard.

Fayetteville is ville. So is Asheville.

Knoxville is vull.
