I admire people, hit by adversity in their own lives, who set up help-groups that offer support to others hit by the same problems. Recently, for instance, in the UK, the Dad's whose daughters have committed suicide - the "Three Dad's Walking" who have raised awareness of this by joining together and doing charity walks.
So many other such groups, hit by tragedy, who respond so positively.
"And out of darkness light shall shine"
Yes, it does. No bullshit sermons, just positive action, reaching out in the best way possible.

I hate to say it..........but no one comes to mind. It is very hard to admire someone anymore. People seem to be dumber.....or less interesting than maybe just 10 years ago. Now others are less social.......less able to hold an intelligent conversation. .The interest of many is gaming and texting and getting high.......or doing things and talking about things that seem much younger than their age, Less mature maybe than they should be at their age? maybe I am being too critical........but honestly people have changed over the last 10 years....and not many for the better.

@MaBalzEsHari That's true! It's something like seeing the speck in someone else's eye but missing the rafter in your own!

@EHLinnea When you point out the rafter....or the spec........invariable YOU are the problem for noticing that rafter............not them for having it. That is lack of self responsibility.

Anyone going through tough times and who manages to accept it and deal with it, instead of always whining and sniveling.
As a kid and a young teen, I admired my grandfather on my dad’s side. He had a strong personal ethic and taught me a lot about tools and life in general.

I admire the ones who are down to earth and raise their kids instead of the nannies.
