Like, flaking?

Use moisturizer, even if it’s coconut oil/olive oil (if you don’t want to splurge on moisturizer)

Use a lint roller or some tape to lift flakes off the jacket?

@WaryWitchWandering No, blood in small amount is coming out of the crack's.

@Riemann do you have eczema?

You gotta find a way to get moisture into the skin and then add a “sealant” like Vaseline to keep it locked in. If you work a job or live a life where your hands are constantly in water… good luck… my hands are always so dry despite copious amount of moisturizing and drinking more water than I can stand haha

Sleep with oil on your hands and wear gloves?
@WaryWitchWandering Jergens with shea butter has helped my dry hands quite a lot.
Riemann · 31-35, M
@WaryWitchWandering I work as a kitchen Porter and I wear two types of gloves. Water doesn't reach my wrists mostly. However my wrists are bleeding.
@NativePortlander1970 I am trying to not use anything and cope and improve. It has been more than a year for me, in the United Kingdom of England.
@Riemann You have to use something or it will get worse, and go see a dermatologist.

@NativePortlander1970 it may be aggravated eczema…
@WaryWitchWandering Shea butter and oatmeal lotions will help, and possibly cocoa butter as well. My mother has aggravated eczema and uses those.

@Riemann I think Warywitchwandering is right. Sounds like eczema and you likely need a steroid ointment. Can you go see a doctor?
Riemann · 31-35, M
@iamonfire696 I want to build natural endurance. The wounds have kind of healed up overnight.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@Riemann I get that but with all the abrasions in your skin you’re at risk of getting an infection
At least moisturize your skin. Use an unscented lotion. Why make yourself suffer?
@Riemann No, you need moisturizers, otherwise they'll get worse, making them prone to infection.
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@Riemann I suggest using natural moisturizers (olive oil, coconut oil, maybe even aloe?)
if you have eczema (which I have no clue if you do and I’m not a doctor), when flare ups occur you need to protect the areas that are dried so they don’t get to the point of opening and become infected.

A lot of doctors recommend steroid creams, but I worry that then you constantly will need them. My nephew has eczema and his doctor prescribed steroid cream which cleared it up, but caused other issues and when he stopped using it he flared again but even worse. Not sure if that was just in his case? But either way, you have to treat it and then try to prevent it from occurring.

Obviously you know what’s best for you/your body, not me and my 2 cents haha, but please be careful.
