When I was a kid I got ahold of some psychiatry journals and book and read about fetishes. They existed, but were rare. They weren't something people admitted to.
Today's fetishes are a pretend version, shared online in theatrical sexplay.
In journals and psychology stuff, there's some confusion creeping in.
