Homeowner Struggles

I had to have the water turned off this evening because of a broken pipe under the house. I'll get a plumber, hopefully first thing tomorrow. Isn't life wonderful?

I have insurance against something like that. All I need is for the sewer line to break on my property and it'll cost $4,000 to fix.

@graphite I have heard about those plans but I wonder how good they really are, like if there is some micro print "clause" that says it doesn't cover much of anything.

@CestManan Just read the contract on what they cover. Fortunately, I haven't had to use mine for anything really expensive but they have come by for some minor things.

@graphite I don't know if our property or house insurance pay for that.

@DemureDeb Your homeowners insurance might pay for the water damage (after your deductible) but they probably won't pay for any pipe replacement. Ask your agent.
