What is the most terrifying situation you have experienced in your life?

What a question! I've stopped reading the answers. I'm just a coward at times. Been attacked and molested when I was in the army. Wasn't too bad in comparision looking backwards. I've been spared too much violence. What event was really terrifying and sent me into direct shock at the time was a sudden evaluation meeting with my new boss and her henchman. They made me feel like I was nothing at all. Came out of there with suidice ideas. Went home and picked up the phone to my trade union. The woman at the other end listened for a full half hour of me telling her my story and then told me that she would take it up stairs. Those are the magic words, I guess.
