What is the most terrifying situation you have experienced in your life?

Walking home from the bus one night when I was a college student, and I heard gunshots nearby. Not knowing exactly where they came from and just how much danger I was in was the scary part.

@latinbutterfly Were you sure they weren’t firecrackers? They often sound like gunshots.

@RedBaron Maybe, but based on the neighborhood I lived in at the time, I didn't take any chances.
