@Simplicity: how cool! I'd love to be barefoot all the time but sadly here in UK weather doesn't permit, well only for 6 months or so.

not really, but it's kind of a safety risk with broken glass and dog shit and other things that can stab ur foot

@mikowee: isn't so bad where I live however after walking barefoot for a bit you become more aware of what you are standing in

I've never seen any particular disapproval of bare feet, I assume the issue is practicality - between gravel on roads and heat/cold.

No it's people thoughts walking on gravel isn't much of an issue (for me anyway) it's just certain places that expect shoes if these places allowed bare feet would you.
