Just look at the The Swedish Prison System and how they treat people, I think a lot of countries should learn from what they have achieved.

@Justenjoyit I am not in Sweden and I wonder at the number of recidivist acts.

@Justenjoyit I once saw a documentary on German prisons and...got to say I empathised with some.
One guy attempted to defend his daughter at the swimming pool against a wannabe predator. His mistake was that he swang at the other guy and HE found himself in prison and had to attend lectures on anger management 🤔

@Justenjoyit If I were a homeless 90 year old in Sweden I would commit a crime just to get a bed and warm meals 😊

@revenant I have lived in Germany for many years and I have yet to see a German fighting, they hate confrontation and love reporting people to the police

@Justenjoyit really ? they prefer the passive aggressive ways ?

@Justenjoyit no shiiat...!!!🤮 you get fined for insulting somebody now ? wow...
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
@revenant It has been like that since I came to Germany in 1981 everyone behaves or you get reported to the police and fined, if you hit someone you have to pay the medical bill plus compensation, its a nice country to live in.

@Justenjoyit is self defense a felony ?
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
@revenant All depends how you acted, the Germans have a good system to pick up on people who need help, so if you got outside the normal boundaries you get flagged up

@revenant I heard Sweden has a very low recidivism rate. Nobody understands how but allegedly that's how it is. I have this from a podcast with a former prisoner doing his time in Sweden. They don't even have bars on windows, lol.

@CrazyMusicLover Perhaps the mentality on the whole is meeker and more group conscious than in other countries ?
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
@CrazyMusicLover Because they treat people like humans regardless of the crime

@CrazyMusicLover Yeah we tried that here at the women's prison for murders etc. The women just walked out the gate and didn't come back until the police brought them back. The prison has since changed its policy and there are secure measures to keep the baddies on the inside.
