Is the truth stranger than fiction?

I was speaking to a SWer here, well not speaking to them but chatting online
They write scripts for TV and said that some of the things they read here
were so real that they would be rejected for being unreal ona TV show.
Would you agree with what he said?

they should read at least one book on clinical psychiatry that contains descriptions of patient histories or reports of drug sessions.

after that, they will hardly be surprised.

most likely in the special literature and textbook sections. i have no references to sources.
