Thankfully I've never had it, but I've learned from others the long term effects can be even more horrible than the short term ones and a healthy lifestyle, strong immune system or even vaccination doesn't protect you against those. All those are still good against short term effects, but you'll want to avoid an infection regardless.

@NerdyPotato Caught it twice in 4 months (second time it definitely hit worse than the first). Wearing a mask (FFP2) everywhere, vaccinated/boostered, hand igiene procedures that you'll see only in hospitals, and I barely see the usual few people at work and family.

@Elessar yes, if most people don't care, it's everywhere in such large quantities you just can't protect yourself against it anymore even if you wanted. It's really said how little of a community sense there is left.
