It would be good to work together. They do that here, there are organizations that offer shelter and meals, hygiene items, bottled water, snacks, socks etc from donations, churches that offer food pantries, clothing & other things like bikes if they want to get a job, there are social workers who will help them get their ID’s, their Social Security cards & sign them up for the housing list etc., and groups or individuals that have offered to help them find jobs. If they are disabled the social workers will help them with resources for that. The homeless that want help will accept it. Sadly there are about 40% that refuse to cooperate in their own recovery so they remain homeless and new homeless move here and do the same. So many have donated goods & volunteered. I don’t know how anyone could say that the situation is neglected here.
