This car alarm went off outside & now I'm all extremely aware 👀
Every now & then, these dudes go around the neighborhood breaking into cars. They broke into mine almost a year ago & stole random shit that was left in my car. I remember I got home at 1am that night & noticed at 3am that my car was just broken into. Since I barely got home & I knew that these guys break into multiple cars each time, I assumed they were most likely still out & about.
I drove around the corner & spotted another car with it's doors wide open & lights on.. which told me that one was just broken into as well. I drove a bit further up the street & spotted a group of guys standing near a park in our neighborhood. As soon as I parked my car I saw them all get up looking right at me. I could tell they were trying to look tough so I hid my gun in my pants (just in case, wasn't planning on using it I just wanted to confront the guys. I knew it was probably them but I wasn't gonna accuse them I just wanted to talk).
As soon as I turned the car off & stepped out, they all took off running the opposite direction. Which to me, told me everything I needed to know. I immediately hopped back in my car & drove around to where they were but they were already gone by then. So I said "dammit" then went back home 😅
Nobody has broken into any more cars in the neighborhood ever since then. But I still keep my ear out & my eyes peeled 👀👂
