How do you get rid of lice in dreadlocks?

WhateverWorks36-40
Ooooo hon.. I鈥檓 so sorry 馃 .. you don鈥檛. You have to cut them completely off to the point your hair is so short that all the knots are combed out so that way your hair can be gone through with a fine tooth comb many times. Often you even have to reapply the chemical soak. It鈥檚 almost easier to shave your head down at that point. The thing is that no amount of dips in any chemical are going to kill all the eggs even if it kills the more mature lice, so the lice will come right back as soon as any of the eggs hatch.

@WhateverWorks I'm not sure I've, but everyone in my family got it so I'm worried

You can get lice spray from the chemist its a cannister and has a long thin tube that the spray comes out of. I know because i used to have dreadlocks and got nits from my neice once. Hopefully you can find that kind of lice treatment.

Cut em off and burn them, use lice shampoo on the rest of your hair.

@cherokeepatti i need a better option

@Hassan well ask a stylist then. If you can鈥檛 get lice eggs out of them by shampooing or picking through the strands then yuck.
