Is it ever ok to cry in front of your kids?

I know it sounds silly but should they be allowed to see that? Or would it worry them? But I feel like if you just tell them why im crying they would find it normal and ok. They would just accept it since you explained why you’re crying to them. It would be a teaching moment

I think it’s okay. You need to let them know that it’s okay to cry when you are upset. It’s a release of those bottled up emotions.

I don’t know why you are crying but if they ask you can say something non specific like you are sad and crying out those emotions helps you to feel better. I wouldn’t go into too much depth because if they are adult issues then they don’t need to know.
