Is having a high IQ a curse?

Ive just found out someone I know who's a bit crazy has a really high IQ (over 150). The thing is they are hard work to put up with and they take seditaves and downers. Is it worth having a high IQ when you think of all the problems it could lead to?

It’s more likely some other dysfunction going on in their life that resulted in the maladaptive issues than the IQ being the cause
