Why do they call it 'Omicron'? Is it because it sounds a bit scary?

Just because it sounds scary doesn't mean Im going to get vaccinated.

“Mikron,” a form of “mikros,” means “little,” so it is literally a “little o.” It contrasts with the final letter of the Greek alphabet, “omega,” which comes from “o mega” or “large o.” The two letters got their names because “omicron” represents a short vowel in Greek and “omega” a long vowel.

On November 26, the World Health Organization designated the newly identified SARS-CoV-2 lineage B. 1.1. 529 with a whopping 32 mutations in the spike protein alone a variant of concern and named it 'Omicron', making it the 13th lineage to receive a Greek letter under its nomenclature system.

Omicron does not appear to cause more severe disease than previous Covid variants and is "highly unlikely" to fully dodge vaccine

Of course not. So every two weeks you expect us to keep injecting whatever in our arms whenever a new “variant” comes out?

There is no new variant. That’s what viruses do. Mutate indefinitely. It’s a “new variant” every time the rna genome rereplicates itself and a mutation occurs. Which happens spontaneously and continuously.

@DeluxedEdition The COVID-19 vaccines that are currently in development or have been approved are expected to provide at least some protection against new virus variants because these vaccines elicit a broad immune response involving a range of antibodies and cells.

@ABCDEF7 thank you cnn I have learned so much today

Did you know roundup that now causes cancer and Parkinson’s disease and are actively being sued were also approved by the fda?

@DeluxedEdition Surprisingly, I don't read CNN.

Allo-pathy gives other-disease with every treatment.

@ABCDEF7 and fda has approved multiple dangerous hazardous items in the past 🤦‍♀️

But this time is different because you said so

@DeluxedEdition I don't advocate allopathy, unless it is the only option.
