Ok so I remember in school they taught us that the us has 4 different time zones

But there’s 6. Why don’t they count Alaska time and Hawaii time as time zones?

Maybe they meant "the continental United States" ?

@SW-User Alaska would still be part of it. But they should’ve just said “theres only 4 time zones in the lower 48 states” Instead of just saying “The US has 4 time zones”

@TurtlePink right, the term I was looking for was "the contiguous United States". But in any case if they just said "the US" they were wrong and you are smarter than your teachers.
