We got new routes today...

Along with the heaviest route I’ve ever gotten. 193 deliveries and 290 packages. That’s a lot even for step vans. Cramming it all into my regular van wasn’t easy. This new part of LA... it’s rough. It’s ghetto, and the layout of everything is the most confusing I’ve ever seen. I got lost more than once in difficult traffic situations and miss placed geotags. Our GPS is far from perfect. Customers seem to be more careless here. No access codes to their apartments. They don’t answer my calls or the callbox. Difficult detailed delivery instructions in the neighborhoods because apparently everyone gets their packages stolen here. All of this costs time. Delivering packages on your 10th hour at night in the dark, in the pouring rain, in an unfamiliar trashy part of the city is a very particular kind of hell.

@Mamapolo2016 Barely. I was the last one back. They didn’t send me a rescue because I had kept up with my route the entire time. I never fell behind so rescue wasn’t needed. I got a heavier route than everyone else though, which is why I finished so late despite being on track.
