My ex fiance had no choice but to ask me out at work... we wouldn't have met any other way.

Fortunately, he waited for a quieter moment in the shop to do so.

@HootyTheNightOwl did you get embarrassed or did you feel good . I like her a lot and she's the 1st woman I had my eye on cause I went through a bad break up before and that pain was torture. I swore I'd never go out with a woman again but this woman I like looks incredible.
@riseofthemachine My situation is slightly different to yours in that we had worked together in the same shop for 5 days before I saw that there was a problem with bullying in this shop and that said bullying was occurring from the manager downwards. On days 4 and 5, he was off and they were bugging me something terrible about him. I was in severe pain at the time and their inability to remain professional on top of that grated on my nerves. I was the last one in, so it made sense that I should leave.

After I left and we started going out, we would meet up for dinner breaks because my new place was a little further up the road. Instead of leaving him alone, they got more petty, complaining about him giving me a peck on the lips at the end of dinner break (we were out on the street and not on their premises).

The only thing that I felt embarrassed about was the way that they teased us... after 3 days, we didn't know each other well enough for them to be doing that.

@HootyTheNightOwl People should mind there own fucking business sticking there business into others . Sorry about the language bad that stuff drives me mad .
That's how I broke up with me ex . A lot of jealousy and people turning her against me for there own security
@riseofthemachine I could have handled it if it was a five minute laugh, then it was over - but it was at the point where it was an all day thing and it was in your face who they were talking about.

I came back from lunch one of the last two days when he was off and the conversation cut off as soon as I walked through the door, with them all looking up at me. I wonder what (or who) they might have been talking about??? It was me and him because one of the guys who was in the room later told me in confidence.

@HootyTheNightOwl I had a friend and she told my everything what was going on when I broke up with ex cause a lot followed after that break up and I mean a lot .
See the fella she was meeting or done the dirt on me with start saying abusive rumors about me to push her away from me cause he was obsessed with her so he tried turning everyone against me . He succeeded in doing that but these days I dont care who abuse me cause it's not my fault . I took no part in the break up but she convinced me I was mad.
The same person she met is drinking heavily now. I'd never introduce a partner I'd have to a group of people again cause theyd play serious mind games and they be telling you it's for a laugh but it's there insecurities.
A lot of jealousy and all of that stuff involved but I took it well
@riseofthemachine I think that a lot would depend on how much you trust this group of people and her.

Not all girls are easily swayed by the type of scenario that you are describing in your break up.

My in laws tried to make me insecure enough that I would dump the man that I eventually married - my sister in law even tried to tell me that her daughter was also my husband's daughter - their best efforts didn't work on me.

Once his abuse of me became clear in my eyes, I would wish that they had succeeded, though - but that's a whole different story.
