Top or bottom bunk?

If you shared are room growing up and had bunk beds, were you obsessed with getting the top bunk?

I shared one with my step-brother and he wanted to get the top bunk so badly, but it was given to me!

LOL, anyone else had the same experience?

No I was jealous of my big brother's bottom bunk. He had a much better mattress than mine and just seemed better down there. I always hated being on the top bunk.

@SW-User Ahhh ok, sorry you got the bad end of the deal. Did you two ever swap over then?

@Wol62 no never. We did separate them for a time when we moved in house from apt and had a bigger room when I was 10.. but yeah, I hated top bunk. Hated sharing a room with my brother. Good post tho..

@SW-User Thanks! I hated sharing a room with him too and he was two years older than me!
When I was 6 and he was 8 he went through a phase of dumping my bed sheets in the wash, sneaking them in without my mom seeing them. She would then find my sheets and he said I was a bedwetter and he did not want to sleep under me!

@SW-User So when did you get your own rooom?

@Wol62 never really at home. He was 4 and a half years older and when he moved out after high school he took me with him because my dad was so bad. I finally got my own room my senior year when I moved in with my aunt and uncle and their 3 kids. Then joined navy and slept on a tiny bunk for 3 years. Life's a bitch 🙂
