Of my close friends...
1 has battled his disability with stoicism and good humour and remains a close mate
1 had a brain tumour he remarkably recovered from but we lost touch after he moved away
2 remained friends in several band lineups until into our 40s and I initially "retired"
1 went on to be a celebrity chef but he sadly passed away
1 moved around the world and became a multi millionaire via Angel investments. He's the most miserable of us all.
1 still runs our local fish shop taking his boyhood hobby to a successful business for nearly 40 years now.
1 bumbled through a career in IT realised he needed help in 2004 and got sober and is now retired early
