Women's suffrage

Just a short time ago-- a month? maybe longer-- was the anniversary of "women's suffrage"--- I look around and I ask myself--- How has it made anything better that we have been voting?

There is a well known woman who runs a blog. She often says that she would give up her vote if by doing so she could cancel another woman's vote that she doesn't agree with.

@hippyjoe1955 🤦‍♀️ Is this kinda like the Bob Seger song that says "I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then" I mean, isn't that why we vote, to cancel out those we don't agree with, vote?

@GERRI I think the point the lady is making is that she thinks the other person is not worthy of debate. A simple disagree with the other woman is not sufficient.

@hippyjoe1955 Oh, she was talking about a particular person, (woman) gotcha, now

@GERRI Yes some woman makes a completely insane suggestion as to the way the government should run/function and my friend will sarcastically say that she would give up her right to vote if that meant the other woman would have no say. Kind of a "I'm embarrassed to be a woman" when the other woman makes a such a stupid suggestion.
