The numbers say you are wrong. On average people with Bachelors Degrees make $30K more per year than people with just HS diplomas. Now not everyone going to college should be there. Those going to find themselves or just living off Mommy and Daddy for an extra 4 years in crap fields of study will find themselves in debit a with no job. However, those studying almost any tech or sci fields pretty much get their pick of jobs. So does everyone need to go to school certainly not but if you have the right purpose in mind school is a great option.

It all depends on your course.
I had several years of lectures and interviews and events to attend which made it worthwhile; interesting and valuable.
Some courses universities run are nothing short of a scam because they involve the student doing 90% of the research themselves unsupervised.
The university gets away with this because they assign a 'Tutor' who is available 24/7 via internet !

I mean people say that but most of them haven't gone to university either. Certain fields you have to go to university to study. Some courses are a scam though for sure, thats an issue with education being made into a business.

If education has value, and you get education at schools and universities, then by definition of logic (something one can study at some universities), schools and universities is NOT totally worthless.
