Whao!
This is a yes or no question,
Would you say he got mildly angry when you implied you don't trust him?
Angelwithbrokenwingxo · 26-30, F
Yes but we had this conversation from day one but each time he keeps insisting upon me coming over so he can grill and we can be by the pool. He’s more upset at the fact that we have to wear masks and he keeps making excuses about places being closed@goldenorchid
goldenorchid · 46-50, F
@Angelwithbrokenwingxo to be honest he doesn't sound like a good person, just be very careful and make sure someone knows where you are.
Your regret should always be that you were too careful.

LondonCowboy · 51-55, M
He shouldn’t be so pushy and you should have dinner in a safe restaurant until you trust him enough to dine at his home 🌹

No, I don't think you're wrong at all. It's only a 2nd date for goodness sake, there's not been enough time to build trust. Follow your instincts and when in doubt: DON'T.
Angelwithbrokenwingxo · 26-30, F
Thank you!@Zoranna

@Angelwithbrokenwingxo You're welcome. Take care!
Ksmile14 · F
Idk if he has bad intentions but if he can't understand why you want to be in a public place then he's just being selfish

I wouldn't go on the date. *hug*

Sounds controlling and pushy and disrespectful. Drop him girl.
Adstar · 56-60, M
You have to make that decision for yourself.. In the end you have to do your best to ensure your own safety.. He should respect your wishes.. But at the same time it is understandable that a decent man would feel greatly offended knowing a woman thinks of him as being some kind of rapist..
Adstar · 56-60, M
@Caliginous I can see the others perspective.. But it is not my perspective.. I came to give my perspective.. She did ask for comment on the issue.. To assume your perspective needs to be enforced upon me is narcissistic.. I am not here to enforce my perspective on Angelwithbrokenwingsxo.. I actually started out with saying that she was responsible for her own safety.. Which was saying it is her decision in the end..
nowic2 · 61-69, M
@Caliginous oh, sorry to hear that. Hope it goes soon. Do you get them often?
Caliginous · 51-55, F
@nowic2 sadly yes, it's usually stress related, but thank you I will be just fine 😊

It certainly sends up flags for me. When I was dating I suggested cooking for them in the past, some of them have said they would prefer to go out for food first and I totally get that so I feel you are right to be concerned and understand why you are reluctant to meet him again.

If he is a tidy guy he should have no issue with you being uncomfortable at this stage to go to his for food.
Trust your instincts. Sounds dangerous.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Tell him up front publicly with an ultimatum. If he still persists... well he was warned.

Perhaps you have been upfront already and done this. If so, it should be moot.
ilikeitlikethat23 · 61-69, M
No, if he can't accept your cautions attitude. Then cast his aside and find someone who will listen to what you are saying.
Caliginous · 51-55, F
Go with how you feel, if your instincts have you second guessing then listen. He sounds controlling if you ask me.

Nope go with your gut feeling

He should be more than happy to eat out with you 😄
No, I think that he is too self centered in not trying to please you. I wouldn't even consider going out with him again. Let him pout and wonder just what went wrong. End of story.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
He could still and you could go to a park
Hoosierxdaddy62 · 61-69, M
Just like dad always said... trust your instincts
Montanaman · M
Go with your gut instinct, he's got an agenda. 🙅

Is this me and @SW-User ?
