Does It Annoy You Some, When Someone Disregards What You've Just Told Them Your Name Is?

Let's say you've just met someone, either on the phone or in person. You tell them your name is William, or Debbie. They then shorten it or add onto it, and call you Billy or Deb.

@Carazaa Sometimes. Usually not, when you've told them your name seconds before.

@Piper I forget all the time because I get about 20 calls to my business everyday face to face or on the phone! If I don’t write it down I will not remember! Especially when many have the same name it’s super confusing to keep names straight!

@Carazaa Don't be, because I don't have particularly good name recall. I've often had to apologetically tell someone, that I've forgotten their name. I think that is quite different, though, than [i]disregarding[/i] what someone tells you their name is.

@Piper maybe, maybe not! How to know the difference? Some might have ADHD or auditory processing problems right?
