Do females feel a need to feel beautiful?

Do you think that for females beauty is built so much into our identity that there is a genuine need for this to be validated amongst most women in order for them to feel high self worth? Validation thru attention, online views, stares, jealousy from other females, jobs where looks are important, boyfriends, husbands and just in life in general. Are women subtly and overtly seeking validation of our looks from everyone more so than men do?

This is a really interesting question. 😊
I like to keep an even keel. Not so pretty that people stare, not so ugly that I lose self worth. Mainly I try to blend in. The only time I really go for it is when I'm on a night out with my husband as I feel it's important he is proud to be with me. So yeah looks count to me in that respect.
